The plates are supplied by 48 V electricity. They are connected in parallel in groups of 2-5 units. The temperature of each unit is controlled individually by a sensor/transmitter connected to a control unit.
The controller unit guaranties that proper power is delivered to each plate.
The cables between the plate and transformer/control unit should be kept as short as possible and the cable area should be substantial. There are no such restriction to the cables on the primary side, however all cables should be suitable for out door use.
A main circuit-breaker must always be used. A protective transformer with enough capacity must be used.
Energy consumption per unit is depending on the geographical conditions and on the type of application in use. A guideline value for the consumption would be approximately 150-180 W per square meter surface.
